Greenhouse Plans

Wrap this PVC DIY Greenhouse with plastic wrap in the early spring and then remove the plastic and cover the top with 50% sunshade protecting your plants from early ripening.

Creating plans for a 12’x4′ greenhouse with PVC pipes is a practical and cost-effective way to extend your growing season. Here’s a basic guide:

Materials needed:

– PVC pipes (1″ in diameter)

– PVC connectors (elbows, tees, crosses, etc.)

– Greenhouse plastic, polyethylene film or sun protector tarp

– Ground stakes or rebar

– Zip ties or PVC adhesive

Steps:

1. Measure and mark the area where you want to build the greenhouse, ensuring it’s level and receives adequate sunlight.

2. Cut the PVC pipes to the required lengths using a PVC pipe cutter or a saw.

3. Assemble the PVC frame by connecting the pipes with the appropriate connectors to form the desired shape (rectangular in this case).

4. Secure the frame to the ground using stakes or rebar for stability, ensuring it’s firmly anchored.

5. Drape the greenhouse plastic over the frame, ensuring it covers the entire structure with some overhang for securing.

6. Secure the plastic to the frame using zip ties or by wrapping and securing it with PVC adhesive.

7. Install any additional features such as doors, vents, or shelves as needed.

8. Ensure there’s proper ventilation and access for watering and maintenance.

Simply measure your area that you want to have your greenhouse, making sure there’s enough sun coverage.  Then, start your plans.  This year I’m building a 12’ x 4’ Greenhouse and this what I need~
